Choosing a Gift
When should I send a sympathy gift?
There's no wrong time. A gift in the first week or two lets them know you're there, and one a month or two later can mean even more, once the flowers are gone and things get quiet.
Is it too late to send a sympathy gift?
Almost never. Grief doesn't follow a calendar, and a gift that shows up weeks or months later says you're still thinking of them.
What should I send when someone passes away instead of flowers?
A care package they'll use for weeks, not days, like a journal, a sleep mask, or a calming bedtime ritual, sent with your handwritten note.
What should I send someone who lost a loved one?

What should I send someone who lost a parent?

What should I send someone who had a miscarriage?

What can I do for someone who lost a pet?

Do you have gifts for grieving kids?

How do I send a sympathy gift?
Pick a ready-to-send gift box or build your own, add your note in the cart, and enter their address at checkout. We'll wrap it and send it to their door.
Can I send a gift straight to them?
Yes. Add their address at checkout, and we'll ship it right to their door.
Will they see how much I spent?
No. There's never a price tag in the box.
What's the difference between a gift box and Design Your Own?
Our gift boxes are already curated and ready to send. Design Your Own lets you choose every piece yourself. Both come hand wrapped with a handwritten note.
Can a group of us send one gift together?
Absolutely. Design Your Own shows your total as you build, so it's easy to stay on budget and share with friends before you order. Everything arrives in one blue box with one note.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. Our gift cards come in $25, $50, $100, $150, $200, and $300, they never expire, and you can send one straight to their email.
What does the gift look like when it arrives?
Every gift comes in our signature blue box with a white inside, wrapped in soft ivory paper, with your handwritten note in an embossed envelope.
The Handwritten Note
How do I add my note?
After you click Add to Cart, type your message in the box that says "Your Handwritten Card Message." We'll write it by hand on our card.
What should I write in a sympathy card?
Keep it short and honest. Something like "I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'm thinking of you" says plenty. For more condolence messages and short sympathy messages, see our note ideas.
Is there a word limit?
No limit. Write what’s in your heart, and we’ll write it by hand on our card.
Does every gift include a note?
Yes. Every gift comes with a handwritten note at no extra cost.
Shipping
How fast will my gift ship?
We ship every order within 48 hours. Orders placed on the weekend ship on Monday.
Can I get a gift there by a certain date?
Please email us at info@bc-we-love.com before you order and we'll do our best. Once a package ships, we can't guarantee the exact delivery date.
Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere in the United States. We don’t ship outside the US right now.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
Returns and Damages
Can I return or exchange a gift?
Because every gift is curated and wrapped by hand, all sales are final. If something doesn't feel right, please email us. We'll always do our best to help.
What if my gift arrives damaged?
Email info@bc-we-love.com right away with photos of the box and the damaged items, and we’ll replace them at no cost to you.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, as long as it hasn’t shipped yet. Email us as soon as possible.
